Not Perfect

I watch the people as they pass buy

So many thoughts, so many paths of life

Some you can tell are here for a reason

Others, their purpose is more unclear

But the thing we must remember

Is there's One that's so much bigger

He can take all their pain and trouble away

If they'd just say

Lord I know that I'm not perfect,

And that's not what you want me to be

And I know that I have broken your laws,

And in the process, broken me.

I know you are the one who heals

Who can take away all this pain.

So Lord, I need your help

Come save my soul today

So many paths and so many futures

As we struggle along side by side

Just going along caring for no one

Finding our own way

But one thing is true as we travel along

We need to show others the way

Because one day not so far away

It was us who had to say

Lord I know that I'm not perfect,

And that's not what you want me to be

And I know that I have broken your laws,

And in the process, broken me.

I know you are the one who heals

Who can take away all this pain.

So Lord, I need your help

Come save my soul today
