A Lesson Learned

To truely understand whats inside,
You'd have to walk a mile in my shoes.
You'd have to know my memories
With the belief that you deserved it.

The tears i've cried in joy and pain,
Happiness and sorrow,
Can never be taken back,
Replaced or forgotten.

A life i've lived with many scenes.
Regrets and a fondness of only half,
To teach me of the truth so clear.
You helped me in that at least.

Some learn the hard way
What some already know.
Except for the kucky ones
That never have to learn.

So thank you for what you taught me.
Thank you for what you didn't.
Thank you for a broken heart,
And a love to always remember.

The arts have always been a part of my life. I've done studio and graphic arts as well as photography, as well as playing several instuments. I have played the violin the longest, and loved it the most. I love to write because I find that it is better in some ways for realsing built up emotions and energy in a way that the world can both enjoy and understand. It makes a statement and touches peoples hearts, and that is what I hope too accomplish someday. more…
