Now I Know

Maxie 1984 (Rizal)

I saw you in the arms of another girl,
Tears got in the way as my heart squeezed in a twirl;
I can't explain the hurt and the pain,
Few minutes of betrayal and I'm never the same.

Now I know, you didn't really care
It hurts so  much, this is so unfair;
Now I know, that you don't really love me,
I stupidly think you were truly my destiny.

Now I know, all your good loving was a disguise,
Now I know, you just fed me with all your lies;
Now I know you're not my sweet, loving angel,
Cause if you are, why am I in this hell?

Nothing have prepared me for anything like this
Where have my sunny days gone w/ all the sweet bliss?
Now I know, what we had was nothing but a game
For being blind, I only have myself to blame.

Maxie

Mom of 3. Poetry is my first love and have written a lot back when I was in high school... and then, life happens. Ideas and rhymes dried up. But the other day I was going through old stuff and found my collections of poems that I've written back in the day. Hoping to share an immortalize them especially for my kids. So that they'll know mommy was really cool once :D more…
