Lay it all down

Mark cloutier 1972 (Kaneohe)

Lay it all down
As we rise to its sound
To hear its thunder
As its lightening is stilled
Through the minds of all
And the hearts of many
As only a few won't hear
The voices of the multitude
Of a mass in one
As one is for all
Then they fall to its light
As the darkness consumes
Its groups of thieves
As the night steals away
That which they stole
In a role and a play
That led to a day
In which they fell
Only to be told
Again that of an end
As they are exposed
By the truth that is told
