My mind's lost in the clouds
Yet my soul's lost in the skies
My ears hearing the hello's
Yet my eyes are seeing the wave goodbyes

Alone and confused
Trying to piece things together
Rain drops on my head
As I lay hopeless in this bad weather

I wanted this to be the last
But the obstacles got in the way
I guess I was playing a game
That I never agreed to play

I was up at bat
Ready to hit the winning home run
But I struck out
And what I envisioned never begun
