The End

in the end
humanity breaks
empathy sleeps
apathy wakes

in the end
wrong is right
lies are truth
blind with sight

in the end
rage will bind
nations divide
race and kind

in the end
mercy pleads
cruelty punishes
innocence bleeds

in the end
speech will offend
kindness forsaken
forgiveness pretend

in the end
a falling stone
true fire melts
flesh from bone

in the end
children die
angels sing
mothers cry

in the end
time is waived
chaft is burnt
wheat is saved

in the end
judged for sin
the many lose
the meek begin
