Knowledge is my Queendom

In the realm of knowledge, I find my crown,
A radiant light that shines all around.
Understanding, compassion, and love,
My wisdom companions as I soar above.

But ignorance, disguised as bliss,
Leaves me yearning for truth's gentle kiss.
I refuse to be swayed by its murky guise,
For knowledge's power, my spirit relies.

They try to brainwash, control my mind,
To reshape, rename, and leave me confined.
But I reject their oppressive might,
And embrace truth's guiding light.

Knowledge my compass, wisdom my guide,
In the quest for truth, let compassion abide.
For in understanding's pursuit and measure,
I find the strength to build a world of pleasure.

Bathing in knowledge's embrace,
I wear its crown with dignity and grace.
With kindness as my guide, I strive to be,
A beacon of love and empathy.

Testing the boundaries of ideas, Theorising Eko delves into the depths of intellectual exploration through the written word, advocating for language access and immigrant rights as a catalyst for change. 'Theorising,' a play on my first name Theo, combines 'ideas' and 'rising,' and represents the British English spelling of theorizing. It symbolizes the evolving exploration of the Haitian American diaspora, rooted in Haitian echoes (Eko in Haitian-Creole), and the pursuit of life, liberty, and freedom. more…
