If I Were To

If I were to take too many pills,
For the pain that kills,
If I were to let myself bleed,
For all the love I miss and need,
If I were to hang myself,
Fo all the bad health,
If I were to run away,
For the memory of that day,
If I were to burn my skin,
For my awful sin,
If I were to stop breathing,
For the pain of leaving,
If I were to drink too much,
For my loss of feel or touch,
If I were to take too many drugs,
For my loss of hugs,
If I were to break all my bones,
For all the grave stones,
If I were to cut my veins,
For all my pains,
If my name were engraved on a headstone,
Would you cry for me alone?
If you saw my body being put underground,
Would your heart start to pound?
