Sentient Sentinel....

Arboreal teak tinted bones trace
familiar sky gentle winds race
to possess him - skeletal limbs dividing swaying as if in greeting

Avians thriving in chest snug
as a bug in bark

Majestically tall guarding yard
as natures knight in bark armour
gnarled exterior to grooved sticks
rugged, robust to palm

Burnt sienna, russet  
meeting light just so.

He stands alone a landlord, best
insect spider bird and squirrel, nest
he welcomes all as his quest
Keeper of feral secrets...

Magpies call, Robyn sing to Pigeon
the sweet  chirpy  whistling .
of fresh cut grass windward
wafted over in a swathe  

of spring released

but what is another  day  to him
on his patrol  he never leaves
forked tines breathe easily
natures hands move silently.
