In the fog the lighthouse sits.

A J C 1958 (Swansea, MA)

In the fog, the tower sits.

As I approach the lonely midnight hour, I see the lighthouse tower, and then I see the distant things in purple: the kings. The color of the air disappears; only God knows exactly where. However, the tower of the night emits a gleaming light. I do appreciate the tower's light in the fog at midnight. It keeps me warm, and when I am weak it makes me strong when I'm all alone but, everything is all right. Have a good night.
