REMADE

Barry Green Jr 1973 (Florida)

REMADE

I've been remade, from the man I was
If you see righteousness,  it's only because
He who began a good work in me
Is faithful to complete it for all to see

I know my faults, all my frailty, things that mar
Tis only by amazing grace that I've run this far
But that same grace lifts me up high
That I now soar through the clear sky

You dare judge what God has made!
Do you wonder that I stand unafraid?
I stand on a foundation you can never shake,
Foolish dreamer, you must awake!

Yes I was everything you blandly accuse
A liar, a thief, untrusted,  quick to abuse
But God broke the man I used to be
And remade me, reborn to be free

Who are you to call me to account?
My sin is redeemed whatever amount
I am a Saint as I once was a sinner
And the damnation I lost, made me a winner

When you see me you see God in me
Where you saw Chains, you see now I'm free
I'm new and you see not what was old
That is the news  I've  continually told
AMEN
