FAITH COUNTERS FEAR

FAITH COUNTERS FEAR

Here I am on an open, empty road
Countless miles behind, still so far to go
My Cross weighs on me, my heavy load
Still I travel on, the wheels steadily roll

I've been a soldier, been away to war
Saw the flames of anguish as they flare
Image of the horror that wrath has in store
Are reflected in the eyes of a Vets empty stare

Carry on, as you travel so far away
Carry on as the enemy falls all around
Carry on, as it's a dawn of a new day
Carry on, as the world burns to the ground
.
I drifted silent once on a raging sea
I heard the Spirit speak so clear
As the wave quickly lifted me
God showed me He's right here

Pain follows the life of sadness and grief
A hope that we feel, but we see not
Salvation is found in Man's sincere belief
In the Cross, where our forgiveness was bought

Look Trucker, the roads end is drawing nigh
Listen Soldier, peace is coming so near
Hey surfer, the storm begins to die
Lift your head, as Faith counters fear
AMEN
