I Like My Toddy Hot

I like my toddy hot.
And not from sap drained,
To flavor with maple.
Whiskey or scotch.
I use Gin, honey and a twist of lemon.
As I sip my hot toddy.
At night before,
I snore peacefully in bed.

The deliciousness of this I must admit,
Could easily be habit.
If I allowed to permit it.
But yet have I insisted to others my age,
This to do...
Is a cure to soothe their muscle aches.
Although I will say my hot toddy to try.
Won't erase away every ache that pains.
However...
Ignoring them as minutes go by,
May have someone...
Rush to keep a supply,
Of Gin hidden.
Not to far from medications to take.
Preferring to mix, make and sip.
On a toddy delicious and hot.
Than lieing to deceive their primary doctor,
About no longer needing,
A prescribed medication.
To have found a remedy to cure,
Every ache and pain they've got.
With prayer and faith.
And God to witness the miracle of Gin!
