About this poem

I have been striving to improve my haiku lately and this is my most recent attempt after teaching chess to my kids. Traditional haiku should be connected to the seasons and have a 5,7,5 structure. This one misses both of those marks but all haiku don't have to be 'traditional'. Most of all, I hope you enjoyed it.
