Companionship with merits

Remember when we boast about the coats we wore,
The expressive of merits we grew to own and adore,
A closeness of assurance we learned to behold,
While far from home we unburdened to each other because of the work we do,
Being part of a team together we grew,
Learning and growing living the best way we knew,
Remember the cigars and bbq's we shared,
From a distance under the desert sun we afforded some things together showing how well we do care,
Enjoying the silence together in a presence of companionship and conversations were a pleasure,
During the evenings we admired the stars above,
Until sounds like foghorn remind us to duck and cover,
Meeting others to remind them our presence to help manage stressors,
Removing stigma that deem our presence to be so hurtful seeking behavioral health care.
