Sensuality

Robert Rowe 1967 (Agana, Guam)

Unseen sprites quietly moving with ease
Whisper secrets, giving voice to the breeze.
Moonlight filters through their frail phantom wings
Sheer curtains flutter; softly a sprite sings.

She holds him gently in her loving arms
Protesting bedsprings give remote alarms.
Bearing his weight his body comes to rest
As his warm moist breath caresses her breast.

Her hand guides his head toward its desire
So his soft parted lips thus can acquire
The Love, the Life that she’ll selflessly give,
The essence of which all men need to live.

Gliding fingers o’er the curves of his back
Hun’gring needs sated, his body goes slack.
Content, in slumber, atop her he rests
Head nestled securely between soft breasts.

Her heart says sleep now; her mind says instead,
To carry her sleeping babe to his bed.
The sprite ceases singing; her song now through
She stands watch o’er babe and sleeping mom, too.
