Memories Painted Red

Memories painted red
Play inside my head
My soul aches for release
A painstaking grief

Time never stops,
An incessant ticking clock
With granting of time
Without reason or rhyme

My desire is to say
Goodbye to yesterday
Memories painted red
Another to be fed
