Pain

Let me take care of you
I will never hurt you
He says
Come closer
I will be the one to make it alright
She feels nothing
Her heart runs with fright
Never would she trust him
No matter how hard he tries
He will never be the one to heal the pain inside
Her soul is the dangerous kind
Broken at birth
She learned to survive the world blind
Believing she has felt every kind of pain
She smiles stronger and embraces the rain
