I became a poet, not an activist

Actions speak louder than words,
Yet I never knew what to do.
I didn’t know how to fix it,
And I didn’t know how to help.

No answer is still a message,
Even if it isn’t clear.
I always over thought every opened text,
And I always cried over the delivered ones.

Some problems don’t have a solution,
But I’ll always search for one.
Searching for what your words meant,
And trying to find a way to mend it.

An apology only goes so far,
Even if you mean it.
Actions are a strong tool,
Yet I’ve been using my words.
