The fields of green.

A J C 1958 (Swansea, MA)

The fields of green.

As I walk into a field of green, I can see you standing there. In your white lace gown, it's not a dream. The stream of glass is on one side, and the tares in wheat are on the other side. There are two paths, one to the right and one to the left. Can you decide which one I should take? If you make a mistake, the clouds will turn a shade of gray. If you make the right one, the sun will shine again today. All your friends have run away. But I'm still the only one who chooses to stay. So it's up to you to decide either way. Whatever you decide is okay. I will still always love you anyway.
