"Tripwires and Traps, Oh My"
My head - my literal head.
Was it all for naught?
Surviving this whole time
Existence is agonizingly painful
Tripping through tripwires
Traps and predators oh my
The small rat survived
Another day in hell
This rat gnaws,
Chews at the wires
Hoping something
Can come out of the darkness
But darkness knows no bounds
There is nothing short of a deep hole
Where trials of survival lay flat
This rat knows what to do
Tripping through tripwires
It scatters around the house
Looking for something to eat
The clever rat escapes death
About this poem
All about my head, the darkest labyrinths that exist in my head.
