listen

Robert loughran 1962 (Ireland)

Too much talk has replaced communication.
It is the cheapest currency.
Shallow empty questions, instead of actual empathy.
All that s missing is a clipboard, or a blackboard and some chalk.
A bank of inane questions, then taking turns to talk.

If you want to know how i am , then stop this mindless chatter.
lets stop the talk ,lets walk the walk ,and see what really matters. If you want to know another then look into there eyes,
Lets not disfigure reality with words .sell truth for soft spun lies

If you want to know, just look, all is there to be seen,
or a simple how are you ,then wait, perhaps something will reveal.
Or listen to each others silence ,measure the cadence of your hearts,
let people gather themselves together ,not help them fall apart
