Moonlight

Marabé 1978 (US)

I miss the gaze and the twinkles of your eyes
I miss the warmth of your arms
I miss the comfort of your embrace
I miss the sound of your voice, your laughter, your madness, your smile
I miss stepping into you and forgetting my world behind…
Even though life journey put us on different paths
I miss all that you were and everything that I could not be
I found strength in those memories…
My heart roars not out of pain but out of love,
It found its cadence and I can hear her beating voice,
For you have given me more than you could imagine!
I found me through you even though I had to loose you…
I know our tomorrow will never come;
I found solace knowing I have loved without restraint, without envy, without jealousy…
I loved you with everything that I am, that I was and I will be!
When your tomorrow comes, and mine hallowed
Your tidal waves will change their egos!
My shore will never feel the gentleness of your splashing waves
But my moonlight will always shine over yours,
Like two celestial bodies engaged in their rhythmic dance of love,
Destined to never collide!
