my queenie

Two little eyes look up at me from the darkness
Two little eyes twinkle with their love for me
Two little eyes greet me in the morning
Two little eyes wish me good night

A little black and pink nose twitches at me
A little black and pink nose sniffs my hand
A little black and pink nose rubs against me
A little black and pink nose shows her trust

My little queenie lights up my life
My little queenie brightens my days
My little queenie helps with my work
My little queenie brings peace with her purrs

She's feral they tell me as she sits in my lap
She's feral they tell me as she jumps in my arms
She's feral they tell me as she comes to my call
She's feral they tell me as she follows my lead

If feral means timid then yes she is that
If feral means wary then yes she is that
If feral means loving then she is too that
If feral means she is mine for now she is that
