And What Then?

And What Then?

And what then if I could not cease the thought of you
when my fantasies do freely fly?
Regardless of life's daily tasks,
your face ever flashes within my mind.

And what then if I yearned to be near you
no matter the space or time?
Regardless of the effort
I'd be grateful to gaze into your eyes.

And what then if I were to place your hand in mine?
We'd walk and talk for hours on end.
Regardless of whatever else is happening,
with you, is where I want my time to spend.

And what then if I told you "I love you",
sincerely innocent with no ill-will?
And regardless of steep rejections
I chose to choose you still.
