Whispers of the night

Live the day, and let me live the night,
I find in silence, what you find In your wake,
Let me get the darkness, and take the light,
For in darkness, my soul stays awake.

The wind blowing in the wild,
Brings with it stories from far away,
As the story of a little child,
Playing alone on a summer day.

It told me of a place beyond ours,
Where every soul lived in harmony,
Where people spoke for hours and hours,
About happiness and about destiny.

I asked where could I find such a place,
And it didn't answer for a while,
When it did, it said there was no space,
Although it wasn't further than a mile.

And the stars, in the vast sky,
Make me wonder endlessly,
About many and many a lie,
And about friends and family.

About those who are lost,
In the clear and in the light of day,
And of how they surely must,
Find a purpose and find a way.

You might wonder why I wonder,
Of their end and of their fate,
But ye do not have to ponder,
For I'm one of them, and it's getting late.
