The Turtle with Arthritis

A turtle with arthritis
Was getting very old.
And due to laryngitis
He hoped to be consoled.

His closest friend would understand
Although he could not speak.
Since they did things that were not planned
On any given week.

It took the turtle so much time;
His legs were hurting him.
The turtle was not in his prime
And energy was dim.

When he arrived, the day was gone
As darkness slowly fell.
The turtle then decided on
To wait with much to tell.
