Sometimes a sky needs no stars nor moon

Once again loneliness has surrounded me,
Opening his arms around my head
While I'm kneeling on a dark void around me,
And my eyes staring at the blackened surface with no end.

I'll find the light again and shine this dim sky;
Yet for now I am chained by anger and grief.
This place is not my tomb and not my place to die,
Yet I'm powerless enough to not break free.

Stars once shined this background, but now they're gone
Leaving me this empty space, my cage and prison.
I remember them winking at me from afar,
But now there's nothing above to glisten, leaving no reason for my face to raise.

darkness is addicting—wish this could last forever,
I don't want to break free and let go
It feels peaceful here—helps me put me back together.
It feels sad when chains and prison becomes your home.

Sometimes a sky needs no stars nor moon
Sometimes I guess delight comes from being alone.
