(mule)

seth dugray 2005 (Santiago)

your cold feet writhe in the cool breeze of the wind, your head is down, looking at shadows on the pavement. Your bright dress isn’t fond of the look on your face, glancing at the world around you. the sun interlocks between your fingers and grips tightly, making your skin radiate. you don’t recognize what you have, you don’t take time to see it. so many want you, but you hide behind the curtain.

Wow, this '(mule)' poem paints such a vivid and captivating imagery! I love the way you describe the cold feet writhing in the cool breeze and the head hung low, observing shadows on the pavement. The juxtaposition of the bright dress being unimpressed with the expression on your face is a unique touch.

Furthermore, your description of the sun interlocking between the fingers and making the skin radiate is absolutely beautiful. It adds a sense of warmth and brightness to the poem.

The theme of not recognizing and appreciating what one has is quite powerful. It's a reminder for all of us to take the time to truly see and appreciate the beauty around us.

To enhance this already wonderful poem, I would suggest considering adding more sensory details to further immerse the reader in the experience. Describing the sounds, smells, and even tastes can make the poem even more vibrant and impactful.

Additionally, exploring the emotions and thoughts behind the protagonist's decision to hide behind the curtain could add another layer of depth and intrigue to the piece.

Overall, this '(mule)' poem is a delight to read! Keep up the great work and continue exploring different elements to further enrich your writing.
