The Chair by the window.

The chair by the window.

I am in a wheelchair; no one cares. I hate it when people point and stare. I want to yell, What the hell? I have a heart and a soul. I know, because it hurts me so much. Please take me home and make me your own. I am a good person, and you would know if you would only give me a chance to show it. Give me a day or give me a night to prove I'm right. If I can be so bold, I do have a heart of gold for you to hold.

About this poem

I was in a nursing home and all I had was a bed and a window to look out of and I would watch the people walk by. They never stopped in and said hi.
