As I lay my head down.

As I lay my head down.

As I woke up this morning without any warning, you were on my mind. How could I leave you behind? I closed my eyes tight so I could see you that night. The sun through the window was so bright; everything felt so right—no more pains or sorrows; there's always tomorrow. You can borrow my heart and return it tomorrow. Just lay your head on the soft silk pillow and look out the window. I will be down below, sitting under the willow. Now you see, it was always me, and I don't come with a fee.
