Ballroom of my mind

Gorgeous patterns, this ballroom got
White, gold and rusty brown as my eyes can call

I'm slow dancing with the one I love
You dance gracefully, my little dove :)

I look at your face, you're fading away...
Crazy how this dream can turn into a nightmare

I slowly drop down, so my tears
A broken heart, this one fears

If I was a ballerina, I wouldn't seek a pair
But all I dance is tango, and you're not here

As sad as my eyes are, I rather go blind
feels so lonely here, in the ballroom of my mind

About this poem

This was the first poem i felt great writing about. it pictures a lover that cannot be with you and all you can do is to live with them in your mind...
