Grimm

Darkness swallows me whole
I wield a collapsible heart
(A collapsible heart?)
No glue is needed, as it never breaks
It merely folds like an accordion
Stretch me out and I am whole again
Peace be still
Yet, I haven't found it
Where do the hippies play?
I've lost my way
Light was drowned by shadows that haunt
ever so sweetly
Although, melancholy
I fear the end has grown near
But I shall not allow it

Katrina R Lippolis

I began writing poetry at the age of 15, when I was first introduced to the genre. By age 19, it became a hobby. At age 36, I self published my first poetry collection, The Way We Fall: Love Amid the Thistles, in 2020. Which met with great praise. I look forward to perhaps sharing more poetry in the future. In the meantime, when I'm not writing, I enjoy cooking, learning about tarot, astrology, numerology and reading on meditation. more…
