Song of Fishes

Fishes, fishes, where’re you,
Come to the surface, I catch you.
Do not go ‘nto deep water
I’ll dive in where you are.

Hooker, hooker, chase us not
Life here’s cozy very well sought.
Think of waters giv’ng you food
Multiply we, happy n good.

Fishes, fishes, look up at sky
Sun shines there, moon isn’t shy.
Life is bigger spic n span
You have much more play n fun.

Hooker, hooker, don’t mislead
Life flows positive n in speed.
That we delve deep down under
Lest you go short of 'll succor.

About this poem

Fishes are one of primordial creatures of life. They represent liveliness, non-stop actions of search and happiness, sacred, and excellent survivours in their destined ecosystem. Fishes are as essential as air, water, and light for life. Deep they go, burrowing, scavenging, to keep the chemistry of water unpolluted. They are symbols of pollution-free world. Relocating fishes is just unthinkable. Capturing does not diminish them. (Inner Meaning: Life is continuous, and positive. It’s positive because it flows non-stop. Because it flows non-stop it gathers moss and memories all over, from which Life takes its newer feeds every minute. Just as Tagore said, “Kaale r mondiraa jey shodaai baajey” (transliterated Bangla script), meaning the ding of Time dongs non-stop. Therefore, in life it is the natural ecosystem that provides succour for the future.)
