Even in space

Beauty takes human form in her
The girl who makes me feel like me, a feeling that’s warm and cozy
Like cuddling by the fire, or hot chocolate on a cold winters day.

The way her soft brown hair falls perfectly, and the way her eyes crinkle when she smiles.
How her mind is beautiful and she is oh so very smart.
I could run 93 million miles, the distance between the sun and the earth, and I’d still have enough breath left to tell her how amazing she is.

I want her in a way that’s long conversations about nothing, and celebrations and happiness over everything.
I want to be there for her in the way the rings never leave Saturn.

We are two stars dangling in the sky, though even the closest ones are worlds apart
but I’m still shining my light to help her see what lays beneath.

About this poem

It is a love poem I wrote for a girl I like. I wanted to capture how beautiful I think she is, whole trying to add that I like her more emotionally & romantically then sexually
