conqueror

Sarah Brower 1995 (New Jersey)

The power of your voice
took out lights in Georgia
chills down my spine
tickling bare toes

Though
I will face this lion
savage to beast
not leaving in shreds

I will become
the deserts Acacia
I shall not bend
I shall not break

No need to rise
for I have not fallen
pity not me,
but on you lion

King of the fireplace

I love to express myself through poetry. I can’t force inspiration so I only write when I feel moved. Authenticity is important to me!! If I can make anyone feel heard and understood, Then my goal is accomplished. more…
