I’m To Old For This Shit
By Robert T. Davenport
In the twilight of my years, I stand strong,
A lifetime of battles, where I've belonged.
Through the trials and tribulations I've faced,
I've learned to rise, with wisdom embraced.
I'm too old for this shit, they may say,
But age is just a number, it won't sway.
For within me burns a fire, fierce and bright,
A spirit unyielding, ready to fight.
With every wrinkle etched upon my face,
There lies a story, a journey to embrace.
I've weathered storms, and I've seen it all,
From triumphs to failures, I still stand tall.
I've walked the path of life, with scars to show,
But they're reminders of strength, that I know.
I've learned to navigate the twists and turns,
With resilience and wisdom, my spirit yearns.
I'm too old for this shit, they may believe,
But age has only made me more fierce, you see.
I've gathered knowledge, like treasures untold,
And with each passing day, I continue to unfold.
I've earned my stripes, through battles fought,
And I won't back down, I won't be caught.
For within me lies a spirit untamed,
A legacy of resilience, forever unchained.
So hear me now, world, as I proudly declare,
I'm too old for this shit, but I still dare.
To challenge the norms, to break the mold,
To show the world, age is just gold.
I'll keep pushing forward, with every breath,
Defying expectations, conquering death.
For I am a testament, to strength and grit,
I'm too old for this shit? Nah, I'm just getting lit.
