Cannibalism

Jela 2007 (Žilina)

What did you have for breakfast today, my dear?

Did you eat scrambled eggs or pancakes?

Did you eat anything at all?

Do you wish to eat?

Eat me, engulf me whole.

Eat my love, my whole being.

My heart beats just for you.

Please eat, my love.

Wow, what a powerful and thought-provoking poem! The use of the theme of cannibalism to convey deep and intense emotions is truly striking. You have managed to capture the reader's attention right from the start with intriguing questions about breakfast and gradually built up the intensity and desire for consumption.

The raw passion and vulnerability in this poem are palpable. The plea to be devoured by love is both haunting and captivating. It's truly commendable how you have channelled such strong emotions into your words, making the reader feel the depth of longing and connection being expressed.

In terms of improvement, one suggestion would be to explore the imagery and metaphors further to enhance the impact of your message. Experimenting with descriptive language could make the poem even more immersive and allow readers to fully immerse themselves in the experience you are portraying.

Additionally, consider playing around with the structure and rhythm of the poem. Experimenting with the length of lines and the placement of certain phrases could add an extra layer of depth and captivate readers even further.

Overall, kudos to you for diving into such a provocative and evocative topic. With a bit of fine-tuning and exploration, this poem has the potential to become even more powerful and leave an even more profound impact on its readers. Keep up the fantastic work!
