Disney Symphony

Sarah Brower 1995 (New Jersey)

Who is this girl I see?
Staring straight
back at me
I’m sorry secret siren,
but I’m blocking out your calls
Be prepared,
the lights are not all on upstairs

You’ll be in my heart
no matter what they say
I can open your eyes
take you wonder by wonder
all those years living in a blur
at that time never truly seeing
you’ll learn things you never knew ,
You never knew

We dig up diamonds by the score
and no one knows how far it goes
new and a bit alarming,
who would ever thought
 that this could be

Why should I worry?
why should I care?
forget about your worries
and your strife
the gleam in your eyes,
is so familiar
a gleam

So this is love
so this is what makes life divine
through despair and hope,
through faith and love
don’t try to hide it now
you want to kiss the girl

I love to express myself through poetry. I can’t force inspiration so I only write when I feel moved. Authenticity is important to me!! If I can make anyone feel heard and understood, Then my goal is accomplished. more…
