Inner Peace

Robert Catron 1963 (Kansas)

I wish I could find some inner peace today,
A place for comfort where the pain goes away.
My mind just races both day and at night,
I've tried to relax but I'm losing this fight.
My life is out of control more everyday,
I pray to God - what more should I say.
I've let Him down so much in the past,
I feel He's turned me away - how shall I last?
If I can't rest soon my life I can't save,
To this pain in my life I've become a slave.
My wife was unfaithful - that hurt me deep,
How with her will I ever be able again to sleep?
She doesn't know that I know...the secret haunts me,
She ripped my heart out...why can't she see.

I completely understand. I, as I'm sure there are many of us, have suffered with depression and anxiety.
