C.H.2 An unanswered question

Renelle Nava 1977 (Lingayen)

C.H.2

Lurking somewhere from a distance
Are wounds from my past

Wounds that spoke of my innocence
And other wounds that still last

If we were to be true to each other
Would you be able to see past what was

If we were built to last
Would knowing them still make us last

Lurking somewhere from a distance
Are questions left unanswered

As we stand still I realize there is no undoing what was
As we stand still I realize you need to know where I was

Lurking somewhere from a distance
Is an answer I’d want to hear

Would you see past my losses
Would you see past my deeds
