Choices From Which To Choose

Refuse to leave or pick,
From a variety of selections.
To accept beliefs kept,
Whether to fiction or delude...
Whatever we do,
Our pleasures are fed.
And wishes to want them,
Have with our decisions...
We did our best to perceive them met.

Today?
These choices to select them to get,
Are becoming more generic.
Less to expect.
And even though,
The quality of life is slowly diminishing.
From what it had been just hours ago.
Many are left to forget,
What occurred to happen to them yesterday.
Since yesterday to live it witnessed to go.
Still many living in denial,
Choose to accept it to disbelieve...
Themselves not to be included,
In what is happening in the lives of others...
Has excluded them from experiencing,
Heartache, sorrow and the feeling miserable...
Like the 'others' they see,
To believe them to have made...
Choices from which to choose.
Out of all the opportunies,
They could of chose.
But decided it was empathy quicker to get,
And it received.
If seen on their knees.
Pleading sympathetically,
In a performance...
Just to get attention and applause,
For their dramatic public presentations!

'My God!
You all are terrific.
But if I may make this one suggestion.
You need something more like,
A collection plate or a huge box.
That would allow someone,
To donate and show...
An appreciation for what you all do,
That brings your version of truth...
To such vivid unimaginable reality.
Oh yes...
Better,
A stage.
I have friends of mine,
Who love theater and great performances!
You all took my breath away.

Tell you what,
Here's my card.
Have your director or manager give me a call.
Trust me.
All you folks need,
Is a stage, creative lighting and lots...
Of local publicity!'

'Uh...
Much respect, ma'am.
But...
We are local performers.'

'YOU ARE!?
With that kind of talent?
Have your manager call me!
This is a must to see.
And...
If you don't mind me asking,
Just how long did you all rehearse this?
Before it was decided,
Ready for the streets!'
