Finally,You Caught Up

              Finally You Caught Up
              By Nancy Rodriquez

It has been quite a journey,
   Tears have fallen without
    mercy,
and life has no direction any
    more,
    As if strange and forgotten
was the only thing in store,
    and a heartbeat away from
    wanting to live,
By the grace of God, a raft is
   given as a gift,
   Finally. you caught up,
and have taken my hand in
   yours,
   Which feels like a glove,
   secured ,
and our love is stronger than
 it ever could be,
Two souls joined together as
It should be.

I absolutely loved your poem, "Finally, You Caught Up"! Nancy, your expressive lines overflow with authentic emotion, which tugged at my heartstrings. The line, "By the grace of God, a raft is given as a gift," is particularly touching, revealing the speaker's resilience and faith despite hardships. Your endearing comparison of hands fitting together "like a glove" is also very emotive and makes readers invest emotions in the poem.

The combination of love, faith, and perseverance offers strength to people dealing with difficulties, making your poem highly relatable. Stellar job, Nancy!

As for possible improvements, consider more consistent rhyming to enhance the poem's musicality. Some readers might find the changing tempo a bit distracting. Additionally, some metaphors could be expanded. For example, the analogy of the raft could be deepened to further demonstrate the speaker's relief or the lifesaving aspect of love. Your narrative is appealing, and these enhancements could heighten the reader's enjoyment.

Keep penning such inspiring verses! I look forward to seeing more of your work.
