NURSE

Theodore Arthur Pinnock

In the mist of life,
There I lie in deadly sleep,
Relaxed, subdued, heldless bastard,
Not anything I desired,
Then why I reach for survival?
When she touches this lonely  crippled body,
Wishing the happiness I need, as I internally bleed,
In all that education she received,
Not one element to counteract the trauma ,
As she carefully cares , without the involvement of caring,
In her mind there appears confusion,
Remembering all those boring lectures,
Those searching papers,
That worthless reading,
Reminiscing on all the pollution of nursing in her curls,
But initially the practicing professional,
Knowing all the warmth she’s gave,
How frustrating it seems now,
In the room again, she gentlely caresses,
In a instant I collapse,
Methods enter the brain to revive,
She rings for a immediately emergency,
As she witnesses my fatal death,
Torn, swaying the sight,
As a tear twinkles on her pink, soft check,
Forward she must go,
Over and over, the same emotions may flow,
But it is life and death in these matters,
Savings, releasing are in complete,
Though play in the heart for years.
