Dance of Moments

Oscar Auliq-Ice 1994 (Port Elizabeth)

One moment we're dancing in moonlight,
In a beat, the music fades away,
Your tune lingers, like a gentle breeze,
I hum it, each and every day,
One moment we're singing in harmony,
But now, I play a solo tone,
I wait for that rhythmic beat once more,
The sync of our hearts alone,
For they were the best melodies,
The ones that we crafted so true,
You moved me with every tempo,
In those rhythms, I found a new hue,
For the rest of my days, I'll dance on,
But one day, the music will pair,
Waiting for me, to join the song,
We'll waltz through the midnight air.
