Starlit Dreams

Oscar Auliq-Ice 1994 (Port Elizabeth)

Right now, I feel like a star
Lost in a vast galaxy
Everyone thinks I'm afar
With so much space and mystery
They don't see the light I hold
Through my twinkle, tales are told
They don't grasp my cosmic role
Guiding sailors, young and old
That's why I whisper to the night...

I know why the distant star gleams
Hope is birthed from its beams
Shining bright, a beacon for dreamers
Why not bring it close to thee?

So it can shine, shine, shine
Illuminating hearts and the night sky
Let it
Shine, shine, shine
For the universe to see

It's like the star of dreams
Shine, shine
Ooh let it gleam
Just let it gleam
Just let it gleam
Light the way
Ignite the dream.
