Dance of the Midnight Stars

Moonlight fell, in the quiet night,
A silver veil of mystery,
Waking up the evening's dreams,
Such magic all around me.
An owl perched upon the branch,
Echoing its haunting tune,
It saw the shadows cast below,
Underneath the crescent moon.
For this was its secret realm,
Where every night it'd stray,
Its silhouette, so mesmerizing,
Guiding night's own ballet.
Fireflies danced amidst the dark,
Around the ancient pine,
While crickets played their lullabies,
In rhythm so divine.
In the silence, whispers of ghosts,
Telling tales of yore,
Floating, gliding in the haze,
Seeking what's in store.
For Autumn nights, enchanting tales,
Hold memories deep and clear,
From Summer days, when light would blaze,
Now stars are drawing near.
The distant cry of wolves, proclaimed,
Across the vast expanse,
Staking claim to their domain,
In their moonlit dance.
For magic is the gift we hold,
In every evening's lore,
A tapestry of sparkling tales,
Right there outside our door.
