I Had to Know!

Your husband died, I almost cried
To think of all your pain.
You meant so much, but I lost touch.
All effort was in vain.

The years went by.  I had to try
To find out how you were!
Ancestry gave help to me
With info I preferred.

I was so glad with hope I had
A way to talk with you.
You said a lot because I got
So much when you were through.

I pray that John and you move on
Past problems you face now.
I hope to see that friends we'll be
As long as time allows!
