JESUS BETANCOURT 1955 (New York)

Rhymed
Hot poem struck by pen on a smooth anvil
Was forged into poetry sharp as a sword
With only light and heat of a candle
Enough to pierce with emotion in each word

The Poetsmith was skillful
Hammering out poems people wear in their heart
Glistening with words so meaningful
I find it hard to describe from the start
