NO= Power Off!

Suzy Ceci 1970 (Guadeloupe)

No is a dark mountain with steep, slippery slopes, and only teeth to climb up.
No, may be a whisper but sends powerful tremors that resound within the walls of the soul.
No is iron chains that clasp the neck and clamp the feet,
Twisted bodies, stacked in the dark hold of slave ships,
Dreamless minds bogged down in the barrenness of reservations.
No is the endless wandering of spirits in the wildness of ghettos.
Futureless youth engrained in inner cities, proudly tossing bullets like clouds of graduation caps.
No is a barred entrance, a condemned exit, causing the feet to walk in circles until the body is spent and shed in a scorched land.
